IPhone Not Paying For GPS will Location Settings On + Camera Geo-Tagging Cost Me Money?
I bought an Iphone today, and when I go into camera it wants to know if I wish to use Geo-Tagging, also I noticed my
General -> Location Settings (On)
On default on my phone, however I am not paying the $10 a month for gps… Are they going to jack my phone bill through the roof if I leave them on?!!?
So what you’re saying is that my phone wont allow me to use the GPS and be charged for it unless I pay. So the Geo-Targeting will still work to some degree just not as well?
Nah, that’s on all cell phones. They’re not talking about the $9.99 GPS/Navigation thing.. it’s more like your traceability, and your cell phone provider being able to pinpoint your location, sometimes making applications and features run a little smoother. And in the event of an emergency, you do want 911 to be able to find you, dying in a ditch inside your car, lol.
You’re not being charged for this. Keep it set to “on”.
