Cameras In Schools

Are you for or against security cameras in schools?

What are your reasons?

I’m for security cameras as a way of stopping the violence that plagues so many schools these days. Also, I believe cameras would deter crimes, like drug sales.

People who are against cameras will say there’s a right to privacy that shouldn’t be sacrificed, but you have to balance the evils. Is it worth losing a little privacy in order to prevent violence and crimes? To me, that’s an easy choice.

It’s important that we understand that anyone 17 and under is a child, according the law. That means you can’t take adult life and try to map that onto a child’s expectations.

We need to keep children safe in the schools, and we need to keep them away from criminal actions and temptations. Cameras can help that effort.
