If it weren’t for the internet, we’d never know about these newsworthy events, would we?
michael, michael, michael, those stories are big news locally, they should be front page news, YOu tell me why they aren’t.
Totally clueless!! Both of you! Neither of you two will get best answer. I have a theory why these stories didn’t get national coverage. I wanted to see if anyone had the same feeling I did.
First of all, the stories came from the media — a quick check has it on one local TV web site and on one local newspaper site. Just because they aren’t on your local news doesn’t mean they went completely unreported.
There’s all sorts of stuff that happens around the country. Editors have to make judgments on whether they affect the people in their coverage area. Is a murder in Richmond of great interest in Buffalo? Probably not. The reverse isn’t true either.
It’s always a tough call to decide what goes on TV or in newspaper. Still, someone has to do it. The Internet does provide a much larger information base if you are willing to explore it.
