Caught on Motorway Speed Camera?
There is a section of the M4 is South Wales that has had the speed limit reduced to 50 mph for what appears to be no apparent reason.
I was photographed doing 61 mph on this stretch, even when everyone else was overtaking me, (I was in the inside lane). I asked the police for photographic evidence and all the sent me were three different pics of the back of the car. Clearly showing the number plate but obviously NOT who was driving.
Does anyone know if this would stand up in court? After all, the real ‘safe’ limit is 70 mph (I was only doing 61) and, the police photo doesn’t prove who was driving as the face of the driver is not in the photo!
Thanks
The reduced speed limit on that section is a real pain. But you knew the limit and admit that you exceeded it by over 20%. This will almost certainly stand up in court.
