red light ticket in mail maybe? culver city, CA?

if you run a yellow light … and right before you pass the intersection it turns red and a light flashes i know those are cameras… but is there such thing as a decoy camera in an intersection? as in something flashes but takes no picture… just for a good scare? jw. thanks.

i was almost at the end of the intersection when it flashed (im guessing right when i almost got to the other side it turned red. i couldnt see what color it was cause i was under the light almost)… as i was driving through the intersection it was yellow i do rememeber that vividley.

i live in LA county, and the intersection i remember pretty well it was on sepulvida blvd almost to santa monica blvd. the cross street i do not remember but it was not a big street at all if this helps it might of been pico blvd.

If the light is yellow when you enter the intersection. It doesn’t matter if it turns red before you go through. (Although you still shouldn’t enter on a yellow, it’s dangerous.)

If what you say is right, that it changed after you entered, then it should not result in a ticket. I wouldn’t count on a decoy camera. I haven’t heard of them. If they had them they would only be over the intersection, they probably would not flash. It’s possible someone was behind you and it flashed for them.

The interesection you mention is a very busy area, so very unlikely it’s a dummy camera.
