What camera is good for me?
I’m a Uni student in Sydney,
wont be using the camera for much artwork at this time but I still want to have great quality pictures, and the opportunity for artwork style stuff later on (maybe).
It should also have a good zoom for when at concerts, and able to record in that darkened area while still being able to see the band.
Money isnt really an option as its a birthday present/I pay what ever goes over the limit so I really dont care cause I need a good quality camera.
Any recommendations of great cameras?
Im buying a new camera on the weekend and I need help on what ones are good.
It will need to produce good quality pictures (during the night and day), have great zoom, and produce good video recordings (of concerts)
Does anyone have any ideas on a good camera for me?
My answer: The TZ10 or the TZ7 (or TZ8)
It has 12 X optical zoom, very small. So got the zoom you want. Amazing quality. Any more questions post comments on the videos below and i will answer them on youtube, as you can ask questions to me on yahoo answers easily.
I have it, it is amazing.
see the link for the video tests i made for it:

Dont get obsessed with megapixels, It isnt only megapixels. Cheap cameras with ‘anti shake’ (digital) do this by having a fast shutter speed, so ISO goes up, so you get more noise. So a 14 Mp photo at 3200 ISO isnt as good as a 8 Mp photo at 80 ISO. Also cheap cameras (under around £200) have bad lenses, which effictively limits the resolution to not much more than 5 Mp. So a camera with a cheap lens, but a 200 Mp sensor chip, would produce same photos as same quality of chip at 5Mp through the lens.
