Can you rent a video camera from somewhere?

I want to make a movie and i need a video camera but seeing as how i dont wanna spend like 1000 dollars on a video camera i want to rent 1. Is there like a website or sum 1 i can call to do that?

Your best bet is to keep an eye on eBay or Craigs List for a broadcast quality camera to go on sale. You don’t save much, if any, money in renting a camera.

The benefit to renting or leasing your equipment is purely an accounting one. At the end of the shoot you don’t have money sitting around in equipment that must be warehoused, and you’ll always have the latest in technology to use.
