Canon Camera 450D – Performed Flawlessly!
For several weeks I am the proud owner of Canon Camera 450D with Kit lens 18-55 IS and 55-250 IS. I am totally thrilled by the fantastic picture quality! The Kit lens is quite OK, but the lines at the extreme tilt angle setting, and it also comes in mild distortion. But if we photographed not only brick walls and houses, I do not think it’s that bad.
The lens of the camera, but to believe in the whole line! The sharpness is excellent and it is so easy that you also use it with joy! Shooting freehand is due to IS (Image Stabilizer), no problem. For me it is a bit of freedom without being able to stand to photograph. Mostly I photograph animals in zoos. The AF is quick, successful and great action shots.
Now to the camera, she convinced me completely on all points. Both image quality and handling. Especially if you have already photographed with Canon, everything seems very logical. Very handy, I find that at the menu to the last viewed point on power again appears as the first. Use the AE Lock, excited by me sitting at the right place. Child can also adjust the ISO number and is displayed in the viewfinder.
In automatic mode, it tends to be overexposed, and outshone happy places. Therefore, the preferred mode P, AV, TV, or taking pictures! A good tip is to make a manual white balance on the ground. The colors are better and the exposure usually fits perfectly. Ev. it can still cause problems in very dark subjects (eg black dog), the background is too bright, because the exposure of which depends on the dark motif. Therefore, in these cases, the AE Lock (star key). The focus on a neutral body such as for example Meadow addressed, AE Lock button and hold it to focus and target the real motive. Works great!
For very bright motifs and bright sunshine, I disguise the exposure to underexpose by one or two points slightly to the left around the image. Later, possibly by editing brighten again, the white areas are not eclipsed.
I use the Live View not as good as ever. It’s a nice thing and in some situations be helpful. The focusing does not take place with the trigger, but with the star key to get used to what I really think. You can also choose between a short dark phase and a fast autofocus, or no dark period and for a very, very lame autofocus. No comparison to compact cameras!
The Canon Camera 450D is rel. small and light. For little hands absolutely the right thing! And why have more weight here than is absolutely necessary?
All in all, the perfect camera for my purposes! Especially for that price …
