What are your thoughts on my progress this year?
**revisiting this question, last time it kinda got buried**
In January, I decided to start taking my photography seriously. I invested in a DSLR, a few basic lenses, and halfway through the year, flashes that I got off camera. I’m happy with my progression so far this year, and just thought I’d share (if beginners see, and are somehow impressed it might give them more desire to push themselves) and see what you guys thought.
*Note, I shoot primarily glamour, so if you’re offended by girls in scant clothing or exposed skin, please look elsewhere.
My very, very basic setup this year.
Canon XTi (400D)
1st 2 images with 28-135 (then it died in the gulf of mexico) the rest (minus the white sweatervest, 28-105 4-5.6) was taken with 50 1.8
Starting with image 8, 2 Vivitar 285HV flashes were used off camera.

Of the first 9, I’d say the 3rd one is good, the rest are okay. The lighting is just not right. The models look good but they’re bordering on good snapshots. The last 8 are very nicely done. It looks like someone different took the last 8 versus the first 9. Nice work and thanks for sharing.
