canon digital cameras list
I have a question about digital cameras………..?

I’m looking at this list of cameras and don’t know which to get.
What is there to avoid and what to get that is important?

Buying a point-and-shoot, your best bet is to go with Canon. Canon makes the best P&S cameras on the market today; they’re known for amazing picture quality.

The remaining question is, what do you want in your camera? Two recommendations I’ll share:

1) Canon SD1100 IS. It’s ultracompact, comes in a variety of colors, has 8 megapixels, 2.5″ LCD, 3x optical zoom, and has image stabilization to counteract camera shake. The appeal of this camera is its compactness. It retails on Amazon for $169 right now.

2) Canon A590 IS. It’s compact but not as small/stylish as the SD1100, also has 8 MP, 2.5″ LCD, image stabilization, 4x optical zoom. Its advantages: it has manual controls for giving you more control over your images and has an ergonomic grip for holding. Retails on Amazon for $125.

Good luck!
