Anybody rate the Canon EOS 50D camera? (the 15.1 MP) with IS lenses? Or compare it to the Canon Rebel XTi?

The 50D, being an entry level pro/upper level consumer camera is built better, it shoots faster with less noise in low light shots. The controls are configured to make manual operation easier. Think of the XTi as the $10 tool kit you find at Wal-mart to keep in the house for hanging a few pictures and tightening a loose screw on the toaster. The 50D is the $500 Craftsman set you would use in the garage to rebuild your cars engine.
