How easy is it to burn a DVD from Kodak zi8 video?

I have a Hitachi hybrid camcorder, but have found this ‘simple’ unit more complicated than it should be (issues regarding VR versus VF format, finalization, playback on PC, etc) and my beloved Canon Powershot camera is AWOL. I would love to buy the new Kodak ZI8 camcorder, but am wondering how easy it is to transfer the video to the PC and then burn a DVD from it to watch later? What is the best software program to use when doing so? Any tips greatly appreciated.
