are cameras cheaper in hk and japan or in canada?

I am looking to buy a Canon EOS Revel XSi, would it be chaeper in japan or in hong kong, or should i buy it here in canada?

All I can say is that you had better first be worried about warranty service. In Japan, the service is outstanding. Don’t know how the Canadian division would handle the warranty if the camera was purchased in Japan or HK. But you better find out. Save a few dollars by buying it in Japan or HK, then you have a problem, and the Canadian division tells you that they are sorry, but you warranty doesn’t apply, THEN consider how much money you saved.

The policy varies from company to company. I have a Konica/Minolta Maxxum 7D. Originally, from the U.S. Here in Japan, they fixed my problem because it was a known issue. Also cleaned the entire camera. And fixed a slightly broken battery cover for free. But that is the way Japan works. Customer service in other countries? Mileage may vary, batteries not included.
