In the age of digital electronics, Memory cards are changing the way we store and transfer data. Most SD cards work on preformatted FAT or FAT 32 file system which allows the card to be accessed with just an SD reader which can be connected to any output or input. When shooting digital photographs, the performance of the memory card can be critical issue, that could have an effect on the number of shots and also on the writing quality.
This is more visible while shooting in continuous shooting mode or burst mode. To support continuous shooting at 3 fps or more the SD card should be capable of writing at high speeds, so that there is no time lost between one shot and the other. High-Capacity SD cards are equipped to handle higher data transfer rates and have speeds of 200x or higher.
For added reliability and durability, most CD memory cards have no moving parts that could wear out or break. All branded SD cards available in the market are 100-percent tested and free live technical support. There is also a new kind of SD card called the SDHC cards which are differently designed, these SDHC can be read by SDHC host devices.
Starting at 4GB, SDHC cards offer larger-volume data storage and optimized recording performance with support for FAT 32 file formats. SDHC cards use new class rating for speed that deliver a minimum data transfer rate for optimum performance with SDHC devices.
