Canon PowerShot SD780IS Digital Camera Review

The Canon PowerShot SD780IS features a 2.5-inch LCD display, 3x zoom lens, HD video recording, with a 12.1 megapixel resolution. You can playback your recorded video on any HDTV. It also has a smart auto feature, which simply means in layman’s terms that it automatically adjusts shoot settings. Another great feature is blink detection, where the Canon PowerShot can reduce the number of pictures produced where a person (who is being photographed) may be blinking! Wow! This camera is very light-weight as it only weighs a minuscule 4.7 ounces! The lithium ion battery is rechargeable and it has a life of 210 shots.

The Canon PowerShot SD780IS produces good videos in MOV (H.264) format. It is excellent for shooting home videos. Never miss those memorable moments again! As stated before these movies can be played back on a HDTV. The camera can also be used to shoot still images (photos). The picture quality is good, but if you need more advanced and professional-looking pictures, then you would want to invest in a bigger, more expensive and advanced camera. Also because of its slender and light-weight feature, the grip may be somewhat clumsy for a person with larger hands. Even so it is fairly comfortable. This camera certainly won’t come out on top when compared to larger more advanced cameras, but it does the job. When compared to other cameras with similar features, the Canon PowerShot SD780IS hold its own.
