“Subtext be damned” is the clarion call of Gaul’s head automaton film, “The Horde,” which keeps the pedal pretty close to the metal the whole time. Professionally assembled on a tricky $3 million funds by debuting item directors Yannick Dahan and Benjamin Rocher, this high-grunge article makes the on the whole of its partial sets, as cops and criminals are strained to labor concurrently in a tower wedge invaded by the undead. Hard-nosed Paris cop Franck Jimenez (Aurelien Recoing) discovers the bound and grief-stricken corpse of a colleague, Mathias Rivoallan.
