It adds up. You can get into a exceptional pro Nikon F4 camera for only $400.
I have fewer “extra costs” since I went digital. I can take an unlimited number of pictures on a 2 G memory card that I already own. When I look at all the pictures I have never missed a good shot and have not consumed my usual several rolls of film each day. After I choose the winners, I can get them printed on SNAPFISH for 9 cents a 4×6 print or I can print them myself on an Epson Photo printer up to 8×10. If I really love them I can get them done poster size for less than a poster-size film enlargement.
