What is the best quality, cheaply priced digital camera to buy?

I am looking to buy a digital camera, but I am clueless when it comes to electronics. I’d like to spend under $100.00 and it would be amazing if it was in the $50.00 to $80.00 price range. However, I want a good quality camera–not a professional type one, just a good camera to take pictures with my friends and on trips. Does anyone know of a good quality, cheaply priced digital camera? Where is the best place to buy it (walmart, target, bestbuy, etc.)? Thank you so much!

Seeing as I am 16 and want this camera to take pictures with my friends, I really don’t need to learn about photography or spend $400 on that camera you suggested. By the way, you should work on your attitude. I’m sure some people find that offensive. Thanks anyway.

Wal-Mart has Several that are ranging from 69.00-129.00 that are pretty good just for pics with friends and family.
I think that you should look into Kodak and/or Polaroid. However you sometimes find deals on Olympus, sony and samsung…
