I have a Sony DSC-W290 digital camera. Is it GPS enabled?

I have a Sony DSC-W290 digital camera. Is it GPS enabled? I’m getting a MacBook Pro and I know that iPhoto has the Places option. Will my camera remember where the pictures were taken? I’ve also heard of a keychain or something like that to make a camera GPS enabled. Please Help!

The Sony DSC-W290 is NOT GPS enabled. You can however add GPS tags to your files using the following items from Sony (other manufacturers equipment may work too):

http://www.sony.co.uk/product/dcc-gps/gps-cs1

http://www.sony.co.uk/product/dcc-gps/gps-cs1kasp

Combined with the provided software these devices simply embed the GPS location data into the EXIF section of your pictures information.
