Technology has come such a long way in such a short amount of time. From computers to cell phones, technology has become smaller, faster, more affordable and has completely changed how we live. Button cameras are effective and cumbersome at the same time. Though these cameras are very stealthy, most models come with a battery pack that you have to tape to your body. The wires going to and from the camera makes it easier to spot in complete body searches. If you are just content on spying from a distance, button cameras will do just fine. But if you want to be as close to the subject as possible, you can put a spy video camera on your baseball cap. However, use one with a small dry cell battery instead of a camera with a battery pack.

These little units are fitted with a standard micro SD card slot and will work with card sizes up to 16GB, which is enough to capture as much as 30 hours of video and audio data at VGA quality (640×480) and PAL 25 frames per second and NTSC 30 frames per second. However, the integral Lithium-ion battery will only power the unit for approximately 90 minutes before a recharge is required.

This tiny video camera works on a 9-volt battery. There are no telltale wires to give you away. You can conveniently transplant it to other parts of the house without your husband knowing any better. There’s a wired model if you want to be obvious in your spying.

Wireless spy camera glasses are powered by batteries. These batteries, however, are different from the type we often buy for our portable radios. They are so long-lasting they can keep the hidden video camera running for long periods of time. This feature of spy camera glasses is important.

The video was clear 640 x 480, resolution at 27-29 FPS, and we found that the audio was clear with no feedback, weird noises, underwater sounding, or anomalies. You get clear video with clear sound, which is hard to come by in these inexpensive devices.

You can use a spy camera to visually record what people are doing. But, you cannot use a micro spy nanny cam to verbally record them. What that means is that, if you think someone is saying things that they shouldn’t, you can’t record their voice without their permission. If you do record them without their consent, that is considered illegal and you will end up going to jail over it. Visually, you can record them quietly without them knowing about it.

Spy cameras can be very helpful in protecting yourself and your family. However, you could end up in a boatload of trouble if you use them incorrectly, improperly or illegally. Following the guidelines listed above can help you avoid troubling waters when it comes to setting up and using your nanny camera.
