How much does Kits Cameras pay?

What is the starting pay at Kits Cameras? I live in Seattle, WA. Any input would be helpful. Thanks!

I used to work at Wolf Camera, which is owned by the same company. Pay varies by region and position.

My position was sales associate/ photo lab tech. My store was in Northern California. Last year, starting wage was $8/hr plus comission — the total ranging from $9.50 on a crappy week to $12/hr on a good one.

To put this in perspective, California’s minimum wage is also $8.00.

If you need a paycheck and want job security, it’s not a bad deal. Not very stressful or intellectually demanding, though there is a learning process — how to run the lab machines, how to serve a customer well. You’ll also learn a crapload about printing, and seeing other people’s pixellated/cropped/inkjet pictures will make you wince forever.
