Does anyone make a digital SLR that accepts the Minolta Maxxum AF lenses?
I have a Minolta Maxxum 35mm camera and would like to go digital but I don’t want to buy everything all over again. Does anyone make a digital camera that would accept the lenses I currently have?
Sony A200 is a great camera, highly recommended. It will probably work with your Maxxum flash in TTL mode too, if you have one.
I have Minolta lenses on my A200. The 35-70mm f4 and the 70-210mm f4. Both lenses are excellent. If you have the 50mm f1.7 it is a great lens on the A200 (I have the Sony 50mm f1.4). All of these f1.7 and f4 lenses are much sought after on eBay because they fit the new Sony’s 
The great thing about the Sony is that Imagine Stabilisation is built into the camera body, so your old Minolta lenses benefit from it!
If you are happy with using a viewfinder, the A200 is the one to go for. The A300 with “liveview” isn’t worth the extra cash IMO. I don’t need the extra mpix on the higher-end expensive Sony’s either.
