Can you use manual Minolta camera lenses on a Digital Canon (or other brand) camera body?

When Minolta introduced the world’s first full-featured auto focus 35mm SLR, the Maxxum 7000, in 1985, they changed their lens mount to the A-mount. All AF Maxxum lenses are compatible with the Sony DSLR camera line. There is an adapter to allow you to use the older MC/MD manual focus lenses on the Maxxum and Sony cameras.
You can buy an adapter to allow use of the older MC/MD Minolta lenses on a Canon DSLR and there is an adapter to use them on the Olympus 4/3 mounr DSLR.
