Mobile Speed Camera in Australia, Queensland?

I was driving home lastnight at around 6:30pm and i didn’t notice a mobile police unit on the opposite side of the road until i drove past it. I do not know what speed i was going, but i was over the speed limit of 80km/h. I am really un-settled about this. It was dark and i was the only car on that section of the road at that time.. I was wondering if there is a flash or is there no flash. I didn’t see a flash which was good, but i want to know if the camera’s now don’t flash. Or am i safe?

the good news here is the camera’s can not get you on the opposite side of the road as they can not judge the speed of the traffic going the opposite way – they do have a flash, so because you were on the opposite side of the road and there was no flash – then you are sweet no fine.

Just be careful they have put in some permanent mounted speed camera’s in Qld within the last month or 2 (we nearly got done the other day), and also they are looking at putting speed camera’s in with the red light cameras so watch out for them (dont speed through an intersection with a red light camera or you will get done for speeding once they have put them in) …
