Does erasing pics. from an SD card reformat the SD card.?
I have a moultrie game cam. that has been sent back to the fact. twice for not taking pics. They say that since I am erasing the pics.on my dig. cam. that it is reformating the SD card and that my game camera won’t take pics.with that SD card any more. The game camera took hundreds of pics. over the last yr. with no problems and now it has stopped. I don’t know what to believe.The dig. personal camera is a small kodack.
No, erasing pics from an SD card is not the same as formatting it.
I use SD cards in my HP digi cam & my Wii. It doesn’t matter what brand either. Formatting it just wipes it out for a clean start with some new hardware.
My HP camera is crap, so I blame the camera for any issues, not the SD card. I may even take the SD card out of that and use it for extra storage space on the Wii.
I’d say your camera needs a firmware update, or it is dying on you.
