no cameras at concerts
took picture at concert-sign said no cameras?

I was at a concert in a casino in louisanna-(not my home state). concert was held in ballroom. The sign going in said cameras permitted, but then they had a sign on the projectors saying no cameras. I just always have my camera, I take pics of everything. I saw lots of flashes going off and people using cell phones to take shots. I decided to sneak some in-untill security guy told me no. Well I recently added this group to my myspace, they are asking people to send them photos of their concerts to use as a slide show on their site. I have a couple good ones and would love to share them with them, (I have the photos on myspace, so whoever added me, on thier side, if they looked they already saw them.) anyway, a friend was like you better be careful or they could sue you? was it illegal to take the photos? I have no intentions on trying to use them in any way, other than personal. and if all is ok to share with them. or could it be a trick?:) just kinda funny they say no pics and ask

It was not “illegal” insofar as you are asking if it is a crime. However, it was a violation of copyright. It is true that it is unlikely that the owners of that copyright will notice your misuse of it, but the question becomes where your morality ends. You know it was improper to take the pictures and you know it is improper to share them. So are you going to do what you can get away with?
