How To Buy A Kids Digital Camera
Kids of all ages love snapping photos. And while we may tell them no every time they reach for an adult camera to toy around with, there comes a time, when they become ready for one of their own. And of course don`t run out to buy them an expensive camera with fancy fragile features, but there are cameras out there that are perfect for kids!
Cameras for kids should be made for little hands. They should be designed in a way that they won`t slip out or wiggle from their sometimes shaky grip. Kid`s cameras should have some kind of rubber handles for easy grips and even some bumps along the edges or curves, so tiny fingers can rest along them with comfort.
The perfect kid`s camera should be durable. Kids will drop the camera at some point or another. Whether they are trying to hold the camera and their teddy bear at the same time it is bound to happen! So when you are looking for a child friendly camera ensures that it is shock resistant and breaks proof. That way if the camera slips from your child`s grip an hour after they have opened it, it does not break and cause heart ache for everyone involved!
When you are shopping for a kids camera make sure that it has expandable memory on it. That way when your child goes on a school trip or away for the weekend, you can make sure there is enough memory space to hold your child`s amazing shots!
Also keep in mind that even though it`s just a child`s camera, it still should have a flash on it. There will be a time when your child decides that they want to take shots at night or at an evening family get together and they will be pretty disappointed if those pictures did not turn out!
The mega pixels should be decent as well. While you might not want to get them an expensive top of the line camera with a high amount of mega pixels, going too far in the cheap direction can only give your grim looking pictures. Keep in mind that many kids keep their photos for years to come, so ensuring that the mega pixels are decent will give you child the pleasure of looking at quality photos for years to come.
Some parent`s give their kids a Polaroid camera. This type of camera is great because it gives kids instant access to their photos. The only downside is that the pictures come out right away, which can be a problem if your child is on a class trip or somewhere where he or she has no reliable source for storing all of their pictures. It can also be expensive to keep replacing the film.
V-Tech makes kid proof cameras that come in funky colors for girls and boys. They have a 0.3 mega pixel, and 64MB of ram. These kid cameras can store over 400 pictures which are pretty good! And you can use the photo editor and apply over 12 silly frames to the pictures taken.
Water proof cameras are usually pretty durable for kids. They are perfect for taking the camera to the beach or on a trip where water might be splashing. Allowing kids access to a water proof camera can give them the freedom of picture taking without the worry of the camera getting dropped and broken.
