I have never flown before.?

My girlfriend has never flown before. She is flying from DFW to Reno, NV. So I don’t know what to tell her thats safe to take on a plane period. What is safe to carry on the plane or even in my luggage. She plan on bring her STRAIGHTENER, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and a lofa. Oh and a camera and a charger for he phone. She has a carry on bag as well. So we really don’t know anything. Please help!!!

If you plan on bringing shampoos etc you need to observe the following:

Liquids brought in your hand baggage must not exceed 100ml per container and not more than can fit in a 1 litre sealable plastic bag. Anything other than is ok to bring as long as it is in your checked baggage.

As for mobile phones, chargers and other electronic equipment theres no problem bringing it in your hand baggage, as long as you turn off you mobile phone before take-off!
