How to make a Security Camera
Security Cameras, an innovative technology in surveillance industry, were initially developed to increase bank security and has since spread to every corner of the security industry. Home security systems, businesses, corporations, organizations, and schools are several examples of locations that implement CCTV Security Systems.
They produce high quality, exceptionally sharp color images, and have motion sensors that track movement across an area. They can pick a person out of a crowd and lock on them, tracing their movements; they can run at night because of infrared technology. The possibilities are endless for CCTV, especially as the technology continues to develop.
In this article, in response to many customers and clients who cannot afford buying a security camera system, including cameras, DVRs, monitors, or cables, and are very interested in such technology ; we will show you how to make a security camera by taking a regular webcam, connect it to your computer and make it accessible over the internet. So please follow these steps and get your own and mysterious security – computer camera :
- Open your web browser and go to s website called: “www.ustream.tv” , thus this website allows you to stream almost everything over the internet including web cam.
- Click on “log in/ sign up” caption and create your account, in which you can customize your personal information and other info.
- When you have your account created, just click on “My shows” tab and enter the name of your security camera, which should be unique.
- Click on the “Broadcast” button now, and in this stage you can simply upload your personal picture or any picture you want, from your computer, then select a preferred category for your profile. You can also add some internet links or a description.
- Click on “Save Changes” button and the click Broadcast again, if you have a web camera already connected to your computer; it going to start showing you the picture.
- If you go to a different, web explorer (it may be internet explorer, Mozilla Firefox, etc…) and then enter the website “www.ustream.tv” again in your browser.
- Now you can get your link and password. You have to click on “My shows “tab.
- Then click on the “Share” button, you will see the link under “Embed”.
- If you click on the “Advanced” tab you should see an option to acquire your password, in the box enter your preferred password and save changes.
- Now, if you want to log in again it will ask you to enter your security camera name and the password that you created. You can leave your office now and go for lunch without have any concern about who would enter your office or what they are going to do, because you will enjoy watching the record after you come back.
