Security Cameras for workplace?

I’m looking to install a security system. I’d like to be able to monitor my business from home and be able to store the video feed on a server/database/etc. 2 cameras should do the job. One for monitoring the workfloor and another for the office. I’d like something that can record during the evening for the work floor. Any advice? Thank you for your time.

If you are handy I would recommend using two digital surveillance cameras and a computer running Linux and a free application called Zoneminder. Zoneminder gives you a great deal of flexibility (including emailing or texting you when motion is detected – within a specific schedule or just generally), allowing remote (internet) access and a host of other features.

It’s extremely flexible and the price is certainly right.
