Sony DSC T300. Anyone else have a problem?!?
I had a Sony DSC T300 for a year. one to two weeks after the 1 year warranty was up, it completely stopped working. Wouldn’t turn on. I never dropped it so I had no idea what was wrong. Bought a brand new 50 dollar battery. Charged it. That wasn’t the problem. So I went to Best Buys Geek Squad and they sent it to their repair center. Was going to cost me $92.00 minimum. That was over 2 weeks ago. I get a call today from the service center. The system is defective, some board is expensive….if they send it to Sony, it will cost $206 (plus tax) minimum. Possibly more. The camera cost me $400 when I bought it.
I guess I’m looking to see if anyone else had a problem with this camera or a Sony digital camera. What did you do if you had a similar problem?
What does anyone think I should do? Pay the 200 and get it fixed or just have it sent back and eventually get a new camera (which definitely WONT be a Sony)?!
Sorry for the problems you met, but I have never met a problem with my Sony T300. It’s a good baby to me. Besides Sony, you may choose Canon or Casio. I do not recommend Sumsung and Pannasonic. I don’t think pay 200 for an old camera is a wise choice.
