Speed camera ticket in Phoenix, AZ however cameras are going down in July do i just ignore the ticket?
I was driving on the I-10 when i noticed a red flash and then i realized that i had been speeding (80 in a 65 mph) then my manager told me that when the ticket arrives in California (plate is registered in California under my dads name) that he should just rip up the ticket and pretend it never came because they can’t legally do anything unless they serve me (her brother in law works for the phoenix pd) then i got home and i just stumbled upon this: http://blogs.phoenixnewtimes.com/valleyfever/2009/07/arizona_photo_enforcement_loop.php and i just heard recently that the speed cameras are coming down in July
Don’t ignore it. Although the cameras are going to be taken down, the ticket is still valid since the law was still enforced when you were photographed.
One way to get out of paying a photographed ticket is to say that they can’t prove it’s you. If you can’t see your face in the picture, you can get out of it; but if you can see your face then you’re pretty much screwed and have to pay the ticket. Pay it asap since the ticket fine can quickly go up.
