Camera 450D – Highly Recommended
Until now I had a similar EOS 300 and was very happy with it, that’s why I wanted to stay with Canon and have decided to use the Camera 450D body () that is initially without EF-S lens. I use the Camera 450D now with my old EF 18-90mm lens, since I still want to wait for the new EF-S 18-200mm zoom lens.
The following pros and cons I can say after about 3 weeks usage:
+ Ease of Use
+ The 12-megapixel resolution are sharp and Fully detailed
+ Night shots are very possible (if need be, with ISO 1600, but more noise)
+ Speed autofocus
+ Liveview 10x magnification for manual focusing very helpful
+ Good continuous shooting
+ Long battery life
+ Not be underestimated (Very fast browsing of already captured images if you have stored> 1000 images on a 8GB card)
+ Can you reuse existing EF Lenses
+ Easy (for instance, much easier than an EOS 40D)
+ Bracketing can be programmed, useful for HDR images
– Full automatic mode, the flash is almost always turned on (even) in daylight, as a substitute, however, can use the program mode
– Lost auto focus does not perfectly sharp (enough in the standard case, but go more)
– Since the Camera 450D has no full-frame sensor, increases the focal length of the lens by a factor of 1.6 => For large objects such as Buildings needed, therefore, more distance, or an extra lens with a focal length
All in all, a balanced camera with very good value for money. The minor quirks are tolerable, especially since you can compensate for this by alternative functions. Highly recommended.
