MSN and Skype Webcam connection problem.?
I just bought a new webcam, a Logitech C120, compatible with Win7, that doesn’t work with either MSN or Skype. I tested it on chatroulette, and it works perfectly. Whenever I try to start my cam on msn it says “We couldn’t start your camera device. Please check that your camera is not currently in use by another program, and then try again.” I have closed both Logitech Vid and Logitech Webcam Software and it still doesn’t work. I have tried with them running, same result. Help me out?
Vid has been known to hijack webcams and not release it for other applications. I suggest you completely uninstall the Logitech software, and then reinstall it without Vid. It should then work fine on Skype and MSN. I provided a link to a free webcam test tool you can use anytime to make sure your webcam is working and to see your image quality.
