what to look for when buying a polaroid camera?

yeah basically i just want advice in buying a used polaroid camera (not the brand, the type of camera) and i want to buy a really good one so what should its features and capabilities be.

im fairly new to photography but i love it so im looking at polaroids on ebay. please dont say anything like ‘dont use ebay’ as that wont help me and im a pretty good ebayer

yes, i know they have stopped making film. but i know alot of people who are into it and manage somehow.

VINTAGE MUSIC: those may be what YOU would look for but i already have a digital camera and i want to try a polaroid. why do you have such a problem with my descision that you wasted your time writing that senseless info?

I was kinda in the same boat of you – i opted for the polaroid spectra unlike land polaroid land cameras they are easier to use and also allow you to adjust the autofocus and other options to make the pictures look really artsy and cool…However its been a nightmare to find spectra or film that fits. The film ive bought is either over exposed or super expensive eg: £1.50 per polaroid shot! even on ebay they dont sell cheap!

Id say the best option would be just to buy a polaroid 600- it doesnt have many features at all but you can buy film for it everywhere and at a more reasonable price.

There is also the Fuji instax which looks pretty cool and is the only other instant film camera, they are also still producing film and so easier and cheaper to maintain and use. The only reason i didnt buy a fuji was because i like the dreamy sort of image that a polaroid camera gives you where as the fuji gives you more of a digital image.

Basically spectra=better picture but more difficult to find film, polaroid 600-easy and film available.

If i was you id just ebay polaroid camera and see whats available for cheapest. What ever camera (polaroid) you but they are all amazing so itd prob be best to buy according to how much film is available.
